Brock is Ash Ketchum's most steadfast human companion, traveling through more regions with the young trainer than anyone else, even Misty. In most situations, Brock serves as a mentor and voice of reason for his often hot-headed friend, and his cooking skills make him popular with any adventurer. However, Brock's cool exterior instantly melts when he encounters a pretty girl, and he carries a long history of unrequited love across his seasons.

Brock, Pokemon's Hopeless Romantic

Entertainment
He's tall. He's got a spiky hairdo that would make a Super Saiyin jealous. If Ash and Misty are the stars of the show, Brock is their guiding light, always there with an answer or a friendly, almost fatherly tip. Interestingly enough, for a brief time, Brock's creators actually had plans to write him off the show and never bring him back. Sonic without Tails! Crash Bandicoot without I'll work on that last one.

He is always brought back to reality after confessing to this lucky, or, in some cases, unlucky girl. But alas, among all the various series and team's travels, they only see the characters once. While Brock's love usually only lasts for one episode, sometimes it's one girl, and sometimes it's several. With Brock, these loves are really just infatuations as opposed to true love.
Personally, I had a big, big crush on Ash Ketchum when I was a youngling, while my neighbor Searra had a crush on Brock. Whatever, I was 8, sue me. Hard call, because Ash is definitely a raven-haired beauty, but I'm not really about the squiggle lines on his cheeks. Likewise, Brock is a bronzed Adonis, but does he ever open his eyes, like, ever? It's not aesthetically unappealing or anything, I just feel like I could never connect with him on a soul level. Eyes are so important. Ultimately, I'm going to go with Brock because his image doesn't instantly conjure up that of a literal child. So, we have to give Ash props for leaving his house and roughing it up in forests instead of embracing the perils of fifth grade, that's a bold move.
